Cue gasps of shock.

Need me to spell it out for you? Lost Odyssey is an Xbox 360 game. Xbox 360s don't sell well in Japan. Perhaps the rumors that the Xbox has a mediocre cult following in the country are true after all! I like to picture them as a roving street gang, traveling from maid café to maid café in Akihabara demanding that people support Microsoft's western-flavored console. Yum.

Go here to see both lists in their complete and salivating form.

New Race in Mass Effect Garners Mass Appeal

Thought I was dead, huh? I shall now revive this blog with a bit of gaming news. Yeah, that's what this blog is gonna be about. Get used to it. Time for my news anchor voice.

The PC version of Mass Effect, releasing in May, will feature a new race, the batarians, who appeared in the original as a mere Codex entry.

The four-eyed race will more than likely serve as a new biological enemy in the game, no word on a possible party member, though the chance is close to nil. According to the game's official site, the batarians (Bioware is not capitalizing for some reason) that roam the Terminus Systems are comprised of pirates and other assorted criminals, since the "average [batarian] citizen" is forbidden to leave batarian space. They appear to be a widely disliked isolationist species that will be a joy to converse with once it ships to PC this Spring.

To be honest, none of the information they give us is really new. All of it, aside from the announcement that they will be included in the PC installment, can be found in-game if you actually read any Codex entries (I love 'em). Any Mass Effect news is good Mass Effect news in my book, though.

Go here to see the first peek at a batarian in motion. Stare in awe as he SHUFFLES HIS FEET.

The Blog Has Landed

Wait... everyone uses that as the title for the first post of a blog!
